Lt. Col. Valenti has been a member of the department since 1996. He was appointed as an Assistant Chief of Police in December 2019. He is assigned as the Assistant Chief of Operations and is responsible to plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Police Department including law enforcement, criminal investigations, community relations, traffic control measures, and crime prevention; to coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex Administrative Services to the Chief of Police.
Lt. Col. Valenti graduated from Glen Este High School in Cincinnati. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Informatics Technology from Northern Kentucky University, and a Master’s of Science in Executive Leadership and Organizational Change from Northern Kentucky University.
Lt. Col. Valenti is a graduate of the 270th Session of the FBI National Academy and the 28th Session of Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Criminal Justice Executive Development Course. Lt. Col. Valenti is also a Certified Law Enforcement Supervisor and Manager through the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council. He has been previously assigned a Traffic/DUI Enforcement Officer, Narcotics/Vice Detective, Patrol Shift Supervisor, Records and Technology Supervisor, Criminal Investigations Supervisor, Honor Guard Commander, Patrol Shift Commander, Criminal Investigations Bureau Commander and Patrol Bureau Commander.
