COVINGTON, Ky. – Allow us to interrupt your list-making of New Year’s resolutions with this reminder: Curbside collection of trash and recycling in Covington will follow the normal schedule this week except for Friday (New Year’s Day itself), which will be delayed until Saturday.
Meanwhile, for those pledging to be “greener” this year, a la more friendly to the environment, here are three easy ways to get on the right track:
- Save landfill space and protect groundwater by recycling non-working strands of lights instead of throwing them away. There are bins outside City Hall and The Center for Great Neighborhoods. Info, see HERE.
- Recycle your natural Christmas tree instead of throwing it in the landfill. For drop-off and pick-up options, see HERE.
- Don’t risk getting added to Santa’s “naughty” list by committing common holiday-related recycling “sins.” See HERE.
Now, back to those resolutions …
