Covington Motor Vehicle Parking Authority to host public engagement session on parking study

COVINGTON, Ky. – The Covington Motor Vehicle Parking Authority (CMVPA) will host a public engagement session at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Hellmann Creative Center to gather community input as part of a comprehensive parking study focused on Covington north of 12th Street.

The CMVPA has engaged Desman, a national firm specializing in parking consulting, design, planning, and restoration, to conduct the study. The effort will evaluate current parking operations and identify opportunities to improve parking management and better serve the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors.

The study will examine several key areas, including the best practices and recent performance of parking meters, the current parking enforcement program, off-street parking locations, and residential neighborhoods.

Representatives from Desman will attend the Nov. 12 public engagement session to hear directly from community members and answer questions about the study during a Q&A. The session will provide an opportunity for residents and other stakeholders to share their feedback on parking in the study area.

Community participation will help inform the study and ensure local perspectives are considered as the CMVPA evaluates parking conditions and potential improvements.
