BLINK 2026 is coming to Covington Oct. 8–11, and with thousands of visitors expected throughout the four-night festival, planning how you’ll get to and from Covington is an important part of the experience.
Coming from Cincinnati:
The Roebling Suspension Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic during BLINK. However, visitors can still cross between Cincinnati and Covington using other regional bridges, including the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge and Brent Spence Bridge. The Roebling Suspension Bridge will remain available for pedestrians, allowing visitors to walk between the two cities.
Coming from Newport:
Drivers should use the Girl Scout Bridge (KY 1120/11th Street). Pedestrians and bicyclists can use the free TANK Licking River Link shuttle, which connects Newport and Covington with stops on both sides of the Licking River.
Take TANK:
TANK is a convenient way to reach Covington without having to navigate festival traffic or find parking. TANK will offer special BLINK Park & Ride service from Northern Kentucky University on Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10. Regular TANK routes will also operate throughout the festival, providing connections throughout Northern Kentucky and into Cincinnati.
Use Rideshare:
Visitors can use rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft to get to Covington and arrange a pickup from the festival area. Be aware that road closures and heavy pedestrian traffic may require drivers to pick up or drop off passengers in select locations.
Hop on a GEST cart:
GEST's free, on-demand electric carts provide another way to move around Northern Kentucky. The NKY Connector connects Covington and Newport, helping visitors travel between restaurants, hotels, and entertainment districts. Rides are free, although gratuities for drivers are encouraged.
Driving and Parking:
Several parking garages are located just a short walk from the BLINK festival footprint, including the River Center Parking Garage, Kenton County Parking Garage, Midtown Parking Garage, and Hotel Covington Parking Garage.
Visitors can also make parking even easier by reserving a garage parking spot ahead of time through ParkWhiz. Reservations are currently available for the River Center and Midtown garages, allowing visitors to secure a space before arriving in Covington.
