COVINGTON, Ky. – Covington Parks & Recreation is inviting local students to get active and build new skills this fall through two youth programs: the Youth Soccer League and the E-Gaming Club.
The Youth Soccer League is open to students in kindergarten through fourth grade and will run from Sept. 13 through Oct. 18. Games will be played on Sundays, with the location and practice days to be determined.
The league will provide young players with an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of soccer in a fun environment.
The E-Gaming Club is an after-school esports program open to all students in sixth through eighth grade. The program will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m., from Sept. 15 through Nov. 5, at the Boys & Girls Club, 30 W. 26th St.
The E-Gaming Club is designed to allow students to experience organized gaming in a structured and supervised environment while developing skills in teamwork, communication, strategy, leadership and sportsmanship.
Students participating in the E-Gaming Club do not have to be members of the Boys & Girls Club.
Registration for both programs is available through the Covington Parks & Recreation registration website at covparks.recdesk.com.
Families are encouraged to register early and take advantage of these opportunities this fall.
