Location Announced for Pike Street Development Open House

Community invited to share input on the future of 257 Pike Street during July 13 event

COVINGTON, KY — The City of Covington and its project partners have announced the location for the upcoming Pike Street Development Open House, where residents, business owners, and community stakeholders can help shape the future of the 257 Pike Street site.

The open house will take place on July 13, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at John G. Carlisle Elementary School, 910 Holman St.

The public meeting is part of an ongoing collaborative development effort involving the City of Covington, Covington Independent Public Schools, the Center for Great Neighborhoods, Covington Farmers Market, the Covington Motor Vehicle Parking Authority, and other community partners.

Earlier this month, the City of Covington entered into a purchase agreement with Covington Independent Public Schools to acquire the 0.77-acre property at 257 Pike Street, currently owned by the school district. The acquisition marks an important step in advancing redevelopment opportunities for the site.

Project partners are seeking input from community members to help shape the property's future and inform the development process. Attendees will have the opportunity to share ideas and provide feedback that will help shape future planning efforts.

Following the public engagement process, project partners will use community feedback to help refine project plans and inform future decisions regarding site design and implementation.
