COVINGTON, Ky. – Families with young children are invited to kick off summer at the 5th Annual Early Childhood Fun Fest on Friday, June 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the David Housley Pavilion in Randolph Park (E 10th St & Prospect Ave).
The free event, co-chaired by Read Ready Covington and Covington Parks & Recreation, is designed for families with children ages 0 to 6 and offers an afternoon of fun, learning, and community connection.
Thanks to several community partners, attendees will enjoy a petting zoo, games, food, prizes, and can take home a variety of free educational materials and resources to help learning continue throughout the summer months.
The Early Childhood Fun Fest provides young children with engaging educational experiences that spark the joy of learning and creativity while supporting rich oral language development and social-emotional growth. The event brings together families, educators, and community partners to create a fun and welcoming environment where children can learn through play and exploration.
Families will also have the opportunity to learn more about enrolling their children in Head Start, preschool, and kindergarten programs.
The event is free, but registration is encouraged. Families can register online at covparks.recdesk.com.
The event is sponsored by Covington Parks & Recreation, Kenton County Public Library, Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission, and Read Ready Covington. Thank you to the following generous donors: Costco, Crayons and Beyond, Kentucky Proud, Kroger, Perfetti van Melle, Queen City Book Bank, and Red Barn Silkies.
