COVINGTON, KY – The City of Covington welcomed more than 100 volunteers for a successful Pollinator Garden cleanup event held on Thursday, April 23, highlighting the power of community partnerships and environmental stewardship.
103 volunteers from Fidelity joined City staff and partner organizations to help clean up six of Covington’s Pollinator Gardens. During the event, volunteers planted 71 new pollinator plants and distributed approximately 10,000 pounds of mulch, helping to enhance vital habitats for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
The effort was made possible through a collaborative partnership between the City’s Solid Waste & Recycling Division, Parks & Recreation Division, Fidelity, The Center for Great Neighborhoods, and Keep Covington Beautiful.
Covington’s Pollinator Gardens play an important role in promoting biodiversity and contributing to a more sustainable urban environment.
