Covington Police Department Welcomes New Patrol Officer Jeremie Ring

COVINGTON, Ky. – The City of Covington officially welcomed Patrol Officer Jeremie Ring to the Covington Police Department during a swearing-in ceremony at City Hall on Monday, March 30.

Mayor Ron Washington administered the oath of office, joined by Ring’s family and leadership from the Covington Police Department. Following the ceremony, Assistant Chief Josh Bornhorn presented Ring with his badge, marking the beginning of his service to the community.

A Northern Kentucky native, Officer Ring will now begin the Basic Training Academy hosted by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond. The program includes a combination of online coursework, in-house instruction, and extensive in-person training.

Upon graduation from the academy, Ring will return to Covington to begin the department’s 20-week Field Training Program, where he will gain hands-on experience working alongside veteran officers.

The City of Covington and the Covington Police Department look forward to Officer Ring’s contributions as he begins his career in public service and works to help keep the community safe.
