Covington, Ky - The City of Covington remains under a State of Emergency due to the ongoing impacts of severe winter weather.
Covington City Hall is open today, Monday, January 26, in a limited capacity and is also serving as a warming location for those in need of shelter from the cold.
To assist residents during snow removal operations, City-owned parking lots and garages are free to use until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Residents who have received or paid parking fees may seek reimbursement at Covington City Hall.
Rumpke has announced there will be no trash or recycling service today (Monday) for residents in Kenton County. Collection will resume on a one-day delay for the remainder of the week, as weather and road conditions allow.
The City extends its sincere thanks to Public Works crews who have been working day and night to keep roads clear, as well as to our Police Officers, Firefighters, and all first responders who continue to respond to emergencies during this severe weather event. Residents are encouraged to remain cautious and monitor City communication channels for additional updates.
