COVINGTON, Ky. — The City of Covington is reminding residents that trash and recycling collection may be delayed during the weeks of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day due to the holidays.
Depending on your regular service day, the following schedule changes will apply:

If your regular collection day is Thursday, 12/25, or Thursday, 1/1: Your new collection will take place on Friday, 12/26, and Friday, 1/2.

If your regular collection day is Friday, 12/26, or Friday, 1/2: Your new collection will take place on Saturday, 12/27, and Saturday, 1/3.
No other trash or recycling collection dates will be impacted by the holiday schedule.
Rumpke reminds customers to place trash and recycling carts at the curb the night before their scheduled collection, as collection times may vary.
“The holidays are a busy time for everyone, including Rumpke,” said Kevin Hall, Rumpke communications coordinator. “We often see 25% or more trash at the curb these next few weeks.”
