Community Groups Offering Free Bike Staples to Local Businesses

COVINGTON, Ky. – Businesses in Covington have the opportunity to help make the city even more bike-friendly – for free.

Through a collaboration between Ride The Cov and the Devou Good Foundation, businesses located within Covington can apply to have free bike staples installed near their entrances.

Each staple, a sturdy, U-shaped metal rack designed for locking up bicycles, carries an installed value of $500. The staples must be placed in the public right-of-way, ideally in close proximity to the business’s main entrance.

Interested businesses and property owners can take the first step by filling out this short survey.

The initiative builds on ongoing efforts to make Covington a more bike-friendly community by enhancing cycling infrastructure and accessibility throughout the city.
