Covington, Ky. – Mayor Ron Washington has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Ruth A. Eger Leader of Distinction Award, presented by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. The accolade recognizes an individual who has dedicated their life to making meaningful contributions to the Northern Kentucky region.

Nominated by fellow graduates of Leadership Northern Kentucky, Mayor Washington, a proud member of the Leadership NKY Class of 2000, was celebrated for his unwavering commitment to Covington’s revitalization efforts, community engagement initiatives, and regional collaboration.

The award will be formally presented at the 2025 Leadership Alumni Awards on Friday, August 22, at the Receptions Banquet and Conference Center–South in Erlanger.
