MLK Jr. Day: City Hall closed Monday,  breakfast discussion Saturday

COVINGTON, Ky. – Offices at Covington City Hall will be closed Monday to honor the federal holiday marking the birth anniversary of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.


Meanwhile, an event to honor King’s legacy will be held Saturday morning in Covington. The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Discussion Breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m. at Church of Our Savior Parish Hall, 246 E. 10th St.

The event will serve up both breakfast and a panel discussion titled “The White Washing of Black History.” The program is free and open to everyone.
