You asked, we delivered: City’s Pride T-shirts (‘Y’all Really Means All’) for sale

Proceeds fund scholarships for construction trades school

COVINGTON, Ky. – For several dozen City of Covington staff strolling (er, strutting) along in Sunday’s NKY Pride 2023 parade, Pride Week became Fashion Week as T-shirts newly designed for the day unexpectedly became a hot item.

Sporting a “Cov” logo on the front in rainbow colors and the phrase “Y’all Really Means All” across the back, the blue-colored T-shirts prompted inquiry after inquiry about whether they could be purchased – including requests that came, for example, via text from Washington D.C. … from a brother wanting to surprise a sister who’d moved from The Cov some years ago … and from a young mother seeking a toddler-size shirt.

Starting right now … this fashion staple can be yours.

And the best part (in addition to how proud you’ll feel wearing it and rightfully boasting The Cov’s authentic inclusivity): Proceeds from the purchase will assist Covington residents who are looking to build a new future for themselves.

“We had no idea the City’s shirts for Pride would be such a fashion statement, but we are so pleased that folks want their own and even more excited that the proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for Covington residents to attend the Enzweiler Trades School in Latonia,” said Covington Economic Development Director Tom West.

The rainbow Cov logo was adapted from the Economic Development Department’s new logo and brand, which was created by Covington-based Durham Studio last year. The slogan is a de facto statement of philosophy for leaders in a City that has built a reputation for inclusivity and its welcoming nature.
