Wintry weather causes havoc with normal route schedule

COVINGTON, Ky. – If your trash and recycling is usually picked up on Fridays, you should set your containers out on Monday.

In case you didn’t see the advisory from Rumpke Waste & Recycling, the company was unable to run its normal route schedule today in Northern Kentucky because of the wintry weather. 

That includes Covington customers.

Rumpke said it will instead collect Friday’s trash on Monday, Feb. 7. As for recycling, just put out your recycling container on your normal collection day. 

Also, Rumpke’s Covington Transfer station (and its Pendleton County Landfill) will be closed today and Saturday, Feb. 5.
