We are currently seeking a Section 8 Service Representative to join our Neighborhood Services Department.

Salary Range:          $36,933.00 - $40,600.00

The Section 8 representative is responsible for the intake of applications, screening of applicants and documentation of income for individuals applying for the Section 8 Housing Assistance Program. This position will determine eligibility of applicants for the Section 8 Housing Assistance Program, work effectively with the general public and with persons of all income levels and backgrounds, enforce necessary regulations with firmness and tact, understand and follow oral written instructions and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Two years of study at a college or university with major course work in social sciences, human services, or public administration. Three (3) years' experience with low-income, senior or housing programs or other related fields. Or any satisfactory combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
