The Solid Waste and Recycling Lead Seasonal directly assists the Solid Waste Coordinator and Solid Waste Supervisor with the day-to-day operational collection activities, work orders, enforcement, customer service, events and programs of Solid Waste and Recycling Department.  Provides daily City street trash can maintenance and litter removal maintenance throughout the city.  Assesses and investigates illegal dump sites and set-outs for corrective action and removal. Takes corrective actions when responding to non-compliant waste issues, including large item setouts, unwrapped upholstered furniture, illegal dumps on City and private properties. Will require consistent communication with Solid Waste and Recycling Supervisor, waste hauler, citizens and City staff to address non-compliant waste issues: setouts, infestation, and special pickups. Ensures compliance of waste management and litter abatement ordinances throughout the community.  Provides outreach education, as needed, throughout the community. Works closely with other departments on solid waste and recycling issues. Provides additional assistance to Solid Waste Division, as needed.
