NKY Senior Games: Winter Edition

Join us on January 19 at the Fort Thomas Armory for the NKY Senior Games: Winter Edition! The event is for anyone 50 and older and includes activities such as shuffleboard, billiards, snow golf, cup stacking, Wii games, cup stacking and pop-a-shot, along with winter-themed games including snow skittles, freezebee toss, snowflake toss, snowman toss and snow ball toss.

The Covington Parks & Recreation Department will be supplying breakfast for participants and filling participant bags.

Seniors Tai Chi Classes

After a short break during the holidays, the Covington Parks & Recreation Department’s Senior Tai Chi classes are starting back up! Classes take place at Latonia Baptist Church, 2800 Church Street, Covington, KY 41011 on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

2017 Park Activity Permit Reservations

Make your park reservations today! The Covington Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for 2017 park activity permits to reserve park shelters and green spaces.

Please note: Reservations are made on a first-come first-served basis and permits should be submitted as early as possible. Contact the Parks & Recreation Office at 859-292-2151 prior to filling out the permit application paperwork to confirm specific date and location availability.

Spotlight: Father Hanses Park

Phase 1 of Father Hanses Park is almost complete! Located at the corner of 11th Street and Hermes Street, playground equipment was installed at Father Hanses on January 11th. Benches, signs, and a picnic table with a small shelter are planned for installation this month to complete Phase 1. Phase 2 includes revitalizing the basketball court, adding lighting, a water fountain and more!
