Covington Holiday Events

 

This special edition of our monthly Recreation Events newsletter features neighborhood holiday events throughout Covington. Click on the event title for more information or visit our Events Calendar.

Join MainStrasse Village at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 27, in lighting the tree on 6th and Main, complete with music, free hot chocolate and cookies, and a visit from Santa!

Enjoy the shops and restaurants throughout the Village. Wahoo's Winter Wonderland, a whimsical, animated holiday attraction, will be open in Goebel Park. 

Join the Latonia Community Council for the first annual Lighting of Ritte's Corner from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 3.

There will be Christmas carolers, hot chocolate and cookies, and a visit from Santa!

Hosted by Renaissance Covington, the Covington Night Bazaar is a celebration of the unique. From 6 to 10 p.m. on December 4 and 5 a giant tent will be erected at Roebling Point to house entertainment, local food and drink, and vendors offering unique gifts.

The Covington Night Bazaar is an opportunity to celebrate the holidays in a different and special way. Live music will electrify the night, seasonally-themed craft cocktails and local brews will combine with a bit of the fantastic to create a dreamlike atmosphere to keep you warm and cozy as you make your way through the parade of vendors.

Old Seminary Square will celebrate the holiday season by hosting a Christmas Walk from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 5. Ten homes will be fully decorated in holiday fashion. Ticket holders will be invited in to visit the homes, discover their history and enjoy refreshments. The Holmes High School Choir will provide Christmas Carols.

Tickets can be purchased the evening of the event for $20 per person at The Ashbrook House at the corner of Russell and W. Robbins Streets. Tickets can also be purchased online for $21 at PayPal.

St. Nicholas arrives at the Goose Girl Fountain at 6 p.m on Sunday, December 6, with a special treat for all of the boys and girls. Hot chocolate and cookies will also be served.

The annual Candy Cane Hunt for kids will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, in Goebel Park. Candy cane hunters will be divided by the following age groups: 3-5 years, 6-8 years, and 9-12 years, with a special Reindeer Patch for children under 3.

Hot chocolate, cookies, petting zoo, prizes, and Wiley Wahoo's Winter Wonderland will all be a part of this fun, free event!
