Household Waste Collection Event Oct. 17

The Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Area and the Northern Kentucky Household Hazardous Waste Action Coalition are joining forces to help Northern Kentucky residents properly dispose of unwanted items.

Residents of Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties can drop off select items on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at UC Health Stadium, “Home of the Florence Freedom,” 950 Freedom Way in Florence, KY.

All residents who plan to drop off items should visit to print and complete a registration form to bring with them on the day of the event. The completed form will greatly help with the flow of traffic and will reduce wait time. Attendees are also asked to remain in their vehicles while dropping items off. Volunteers who will unload your car for you and sort the items appropriately.

Appliances, fertilizer, mercury containing devices, tires, and medications WILL NOT be accepted. 

Aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries, light bulbs, fuel, kerosene, propane, electronics, oil, paint, paper, ink cartridges, and pesticides can all be brought, with some restrictions.
