Special Event Notice for May 3, 2014
Downtown Traffic Routes Affected; Temporary Road Closures

Two events with traffic disruptions are scheduled this weekend:

 

Flying Pig Marathon, Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4

Vehicular traffic will be affected on 4th Street and riverfront areas will experience higher amounts of pedestrian traffic.

4th Street from the Memorial Bridge to the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge will be blocked off from 8 - 10 AM on Saturday, May 3rd for the Flying Pig 10k.

4th Street from the Memorial Bridge to the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge will be blocked off from 6 - 9 AM on Sunday, May 4th for the Flying Pig Marathon.

Several off-duty officers will be in place to control traffic during both races.

 

Filming in Wallace Woods, Sunday, May 4

Wallace Ave. from Oakland to Eastern will be blocked off from 8 AM - 12 PM on Sunday, May 4th for a film shoot by GPA Productions. Parking will also be restricted during the same time.

The closure will not affect any intersection or bus routes and filming will generally be taking place in front of the Martanna Apartments.
