Covington, 3 other cities to hold MLK Jr. virtual event that night

COVINGTON, Ky. – Note that offices at City Hall at 20 W. Pike St. will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day but will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.*

We also invite you to a virtual event Monday evening to celebrate the life and message of Dr. King, the minister and activist who became one of America’s most celebrated civil rights leaders.

The celebration is a joint event organized by the cities of Covington, Erlanger, Elsmere, and Independence. Its theme is “compassionate conversation,” and it will include keynote remarks from a legendary civil rights leader in Kentucky, Raoul Cunningham (details will be distributed later today).
