Hazardous Waste Collection Event, Nov 1

COVINGTON - All Residents are encouraged to to mark November 1 on the calendar. It's one day out the year that Residents from Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties can drop off select hazardous waste items safely and at no additional cost.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 1st at UC Health Center (Former Freedom Center) in Florence.

The event is annual and always takes place at the end of the summer/beginning of the fall season.

The Northern Kentucky Household Hazardous Waste Action Coalition and the Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Area are hosts for the event, called the "Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event".

 

Onlythe following items will be accepted: aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries (all types), corrosives, flammables, prescription and e-scraps (computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, cell phones), ink/toner cartridges, light bulbs, motor oil, pesticides, propane tanks (20lbs only), televisions, documents for paper shredding and paint.

 

You must print off a registration form for this event. The registration and a list of acceptable items can be found at: http://www.nkyhhw.org/ or you may call 859-334-3629 to obtain a form.
