The Department of External Affairs connects the City of Covington with the people, organizations, and government partners who help move our community forward. The Department leads the City's efforts relating to strategic communications, legislative advocacy, marketing, and community engagement. Working across various departments, the Department of External Affairs helps communicate the City's work, advance its policy priorities, strengthen relationships with local, regional, state, and federal partners, and ensure residents, businesses, and stakeholders have meaningful opportunities to engage with their local government.
