RFQ - Lead Risk Assessment, Inspection, and Clearance Services


The City is issuing this Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") to create an established pool of Kentucky certified ‘Lead Hazard Risk Assessors’ who can assist the City in meeting the goals of its ‘Lead Paint Hazard Control Program,’ which is federally-funded by HUD’s Lead Hazard Reduction Grant.  In accordance with 902 KAR 48:020, the work outlined in this RFQ must be conducted by Kentucky certified ‘Lead Hazard Risk Assessors.’

Qualifications should be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with "RESPONSE FOR LEAD HAZARD CONTROL RISK ASSESSMENT/ INSPECTION/ CLEARANCE SERVICES - DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL." Responses must be received by: 10:00 a.m. (EST), Tuesday, October 8th, 2019. Responses should be mailed or physically delivered to:

This RFQ is intended to create a pool of eligible Contractors who can readily be assigned projects related to lead inspection and risk assessment services. Responses will be evaluated by qualified City staff against the evaluation criteria listed within the RFQ documents.  The City is authorized to conduct this RFQ, in accordance with KRS 45A.385, based upon the determination that the need and overall costs of the requested services cannot be reasonably determined in advance, as need and cost are dependent upon community participation.
