The City abides by both State and local laws that govern the way the City engages and conducts business with third parties. The City has adopted the Model Procurement Code, as outlined in Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) Chapter 45A,

Current Bid Requests

The purpose of the sale is to return a currently underutilized property back to a productive community asset. The City of Covington seeks qualified buyers to acquire and redevelop the property. The property was declared surplus by the City of Covington on July 7, 2015 via Order/Resolution #227-15. The sale of this property shall be by means of sealed bids, pursuant to KRS § 82.083(4)(e).

Property Insurance Coverage

The City of Covington invites written Proposals from insurance carriers to provide property insurance coverage, as detailed below. The City will make its selection based on the insurance carrier’s cost proposal, qualifications, experience and references.

Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside "SEALED BID FOR PROPERTY INSURANCE COVERAGE - DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL."

The City of Covington is seeking qualified firms to create a development code which integrates form or character-based zoning and historic preservation regulations in the city.

Parking Financial Feasibility Study

The City of Covington is soliciting proposals for financial feasibility consulting services to the City of Covington for the City of Covington's on- and off-street parking facilities which includes constructing approximately 700 parking spaces located at Duveneck Square. The City is in the process of forming a Parking Authority to take over day-to- day management of the City's parking assets.

Covington Central Riverfront Strategic Master Plan

The City of Covington is requesting proposals from qualified firms to guide a community-based strategic master planning process for the north-central portion of the City, an area anchored by the soon-to-be closed 23-acre IRS Processing Center and envisioned to serve as the connector to Riverfront Commons, Mainstrasse and West Covington.  This area is a key commercial area located adjacent to the Ohio River levee and the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
