COVINGTON, Ky. - Another weekend, another eclectic assortment of things to do in Covington.
 
Here are some highlights:
 
Food & coat drive concert
Madison Live is hosting the Food and Winter Coat Drive concert this Saturday, featuring live music by Blessid Union of Souls unplugged, Green Light Morning, Mavenne.
 
Tickets are $10 in advance, and $15 the day of. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Freestore Foodbank. Donations of non-perishable food items and winter clothing are accepted at entry

Covington Farmers Market @ Braxton
Even in this cool weather there will be a plethora of goods for sale: Late-season produce, meat and eggs, and a big variety of creative and hand-made foods and goods, like bread and pastries, soaps and lotions, cashew butter, honey, candles and seasonings.
 
This Saturday will feature information from the program Zero Waste Way. This sustainability program aims to make all Covington events zero waste. There will also be live music by, Moonshine and Wine, beginning at 11 a.m.
 
The Farmers Market will be in its winter location this weekend, at Braxton Brewing Co. on Seventh Street. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 27 W. Seventh St. Info: MARKET.
 
In Love and Warcraft
The cast of Madhuri Shekar's "In Love and Warcraft", performs its last weekend at The Carnegie.
 
It's called "a rom-com for the digital generation" (i.e. romantic comedy to those whose lives revolve around computers, the Internet, gaming, Smart phones etc.).

Sound of Music
Covington Latin School is alive with the Sound of Music! The schools Drama Club will perform the Sound of music this weekend.
 
The first performance begins Friday at 7 p.m. and continues throughout the weekend. Information on additional showings, HERE.
 
Ornament-Making Workshop
This Saturday at the Behringer-Crawford Museum you have the opportunity to learn the old fashioned pioneer technique of tin punching.
 
The ornament craft demo will begin at 2 p.m. in the Museum's Education Center. Info, HERE.
 
Trail work at Devou
Are you tough? Do you love working outdoors? Is Devou Park precious to you?
 
Sunday morning, it's the monthly trail day, when volunteers gather to cut weeds, fix drainage issues and fill in holes on the park's backcountry trails. Hard work, but so worth it.

Covington Friendsgiving!
Rooted Yoga is hosting its 3rd annual Friendsgiving this Sunday. Along with enjoying food and drinks with friends, Rooted Yoga is raising money and food donations for The Welcome House of Northern Kentucky's Food Pantry.
