Fun for causes & just plain fun

COVINGTON, Ky. - It’s just a normal ol’ weekend in #LoveTheCov, featuring fun for a cause, fun to bring awareness, and just plain fun.

If you like food, drink, music, theater, books and toys, there’s an event for you - and some will make you feel like you’re giving back to the community, too!

Pub Crawl to help 1st responders
Chip Terry’s 911 Pub Crawl on Friday night will raise money to offset the cost of a seminar for first responders on post-traumatic stress in honor of the late Assistant Covington Fire Chief.

Farm to Table festival
It’s National Farmers Market Week, and Covington’s Farmers Market is hosting not only its weekly local produce extravaganza but also its 3rd annual Farm to Table Dinner.

The dinner, info HERE, takes place 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday at Hotel Covington. It’s a curated Mediterranean-inspired, dinner-by-the bite feast featuring local chefs and locally produced food, live music, grill cooking, and various forms of alcohol.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door (raffle tickets and alcohol extra). Proceeds benefit the Farmers Market (see next item).

Farmers Market
This weekly event features a veritable cornucopia of local produce, meats and eggs, soaps and lotions, teas, baked goods, sugar scrubs, nut milks and creamers, prepared soups and salads, fermented foods, and ... (well, lots more).

This Saturday, Covington Farmers Market also features yoga with Cole Imperi (9 a.m. start), live music, and pet adoption through the League for Animal Welfare.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Third & Court streets. For info, HERE.
