Part Time Code Enforcement Inspector Position

The City of Covington is currently seeking a Part Time Code Enforcement Inspector to join its Department of Development Team.

The Part Time Code Enforcement Inspector is responsible for field enforcement of existing housing and property maintenance issues. Determines compliance with the adopted codes and approved plans; prepares concise, narrative reports and gives testimony at appeal hearings and court actions, re-inspect properties to determine compliance and correction of deficiencies. Must enforce violation notices when necessary and maintain the case until the violation has been corrected.

Part Time Fire/Rental Inspector Position

The City of Covington is currently seeking a Part Time Fire/Rental Inspector to join our Fire Department.

The Part Time Fire/Rental Inspector will provide field enforcement of existing fire, housing, property maintenance and building codes; inspect existing building and structures to determine compliance with the adopted codes and approved plan; determine deficiencies relative to fire/housing/building codes and prepare concise, narrative reports and give testimony at appeals hearings and court actions, re-inspect buildings and structures to determine compliance and correction of deficiencies. Carry out the City's Fire and Rental Inspection Program.
