NKY Water District Confirms Boil Water Notice Lifted; Water is Safe for Drinking & Cooking Purposes

On May 6, 2017, the Northern Kentucky Water District issued a “Boil Water Advisory” for the customers in the entire City of Taylor Mill and Fairview, Kentucky including the several streets in the City of Covington (below).

This was a precautionary measure due to a loss of water pressure in the distribution system caused by a water main break.

At the direction of the Kentucky Division of Water, as of 9:10 a.m., May 7, 2017, this “Boil Water Advisory” has been lifted.  This means that your water is SAFE for all drinking and cooking purposes. Bacteriological samples of the water from the area have been tested and the results are fine.
