Levassor Park
The Levassor Park neighborhood of Covington was established in the 1800s by some of our City's wealthiest residents. "The Castle" was built on the grounds where Holmes High School is now located. Mr. Eugene Levassor built his family home in 1850 and still stands on Levassor Avenue. The city limits were extended to include Levassor Park in the early 1900s and many of the houses were built in the style sometimes referred to as the "Chicago bungalow".
The friendly Levassor Park neighborhood has a high percentage of single family, owner occupied homes and its close proximity to transportation lines and easy access to major highways make it a desirable place to raise a family.
The Levassor Park Neighborhood Association meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Covington Housing Authority building at 2300 Madison Avenue.
