Kenton County Planning Commission

The Kenton County Planning Commission (KCPC) handles hearings regarding planning and zoning issues including text and map amendments. The KCPC was established in 1968 by an agreement between the City of Covington, Kenton County, and most of the other cities in Kenton County.

The Mayor appoints representatives who are approved by the Board of Commissioners. The City has three appointments to the twenty-member board. One of its appointments can be a public official, however, a public official has not been appointed since the early 1980’s. Board members are paid $25 per meeting attended.
