Boards & Commissions

The City of Covington has a number of boards and commissions on which city residents serve. Under Kentucky law, the Mayor appoints the members of these boards and commissions, subject to the approval of the City Commission. The various city boards and commissions, along with those citizens who serve on them, can be seen below.

Board of Trustees for the City Employees Retirement Fund

The City of Covington Code of Ordinances Section 34.62 created the Board of Trustees for the City Employees Retirement Fund. This Board was amended by O-30-11 making the Board composition as follows: the Mayor, Finance Director, City Manager, Human Resource Director, and one Trustee, who shall be a retired employee. The Trustee is appointed by the Mayor and must be a member of the Fund in good standing. The Trustee’s term is for a period of one year.
