Historic Plaque Application

The Historic Plaque Program helps historic homes be recognized by the National Historic Register, in the form of a wall mounted metal plaque, to display the significance of contributing structures. This Historic Plaque Application Part 1 must be turned in to the Historic Preservation Office with a photo to determine if the building is eligible for the program.

Once a building is determined to be eligible for the Historic Plaque Program, research and documentation must be provided on the history and architecture of the building. The applicant is responsible for this research and must provide documentation along with the Historic Plaque Application Part 2 where a summary of the history and the selected wording for the plaque will be submitted along with the fee for the plaque.
