Current Bid Requests

The purpose of the sale is to return a currently underutilized property back to a productive community asset. The City of Covington seeks qualified buyers to acquire and redevelop the property. The property was declared surplus by the City of Covington on July 7, 2015 via Order/Resolution #227-15. The sale of this property shall be by means of sealed bids, pursuant to KRS § 82.083(4)(e).


Police Department Firing Range

The City is soliciting Bids from qualified Vendors to remove the current firing range target system and replace it with a new target system at the City's Police Department, located 1 Police Memorial Drive, Covington KY 41014.

The Covington City Manager will receive sealed bids for the:

REPLACEMENT OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE FIRING RANGE LOCATED AT 1 POLICE MEMORIAL DRIVE, COVINGTON, KENTUCKY, 41014

Said bid shall be enclosed in an envelope, marked with the aforementioned project name, and must be delivered to and time stamped by the FIRST FLOOR WINDOW FINANCE DEPARTMENT, 20 WEST PIKE STREET, COVINGTON, KY 41011 no later than ___10:00 a.m.____, prevailing time, ___June 22nd , 2018______ and will be opened and read in public by the City Clerk, or her alternate, at that time and date in the 1st floor Commission Chambers, 20 W. Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011.

Said bids will be tabulated and referred to the City Manager for recommendations to the City Commission. The City Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities.

Further information and/or specifications may be obtained at the City of Covington Police Department, 1 Police Memorial Drive, Covington, KY 41011 information for bidders, form of bid, form of contract, plans, specifications and forms of bid bond, and other contract documents, if applicable, copies of which, if applicable, may be obtained at the office of Covington Police Department, LT Jordan at 859-292-2362 for a non-refundable cost of $35.00 or by email at mjordan@covingtonky.gov for no cost.

Submissions Deadline: Wednesday, May 23. Proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted.

The City of Covington is seeking qualified firms to create a development code which integrates form or character-based zoning and historic preservation regulations in the city.

Covington Central Riverfront Strategic Master Plan

The City of Covington is requesting proposals from qualified firms to guide a community-based strategic master planning process for the north-central portion of the City, an area anchored by the soon-to-be closed 23-acre IRS Processing Center and envisioned to serve as the connector to Riverfront Commons, Mainstrasse and West Covington.  This area is a key commercial area located adjacent to the Ohio River levee and the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
